Timeless and simple: both stupid and funny at the same time.
I notice they lampoon men almost as often as they do the women, that's a positive in their corner.

Young men; lustful Lotharios who ultimately fail to perform satisfactorily.
Young women; faux-naive pulchritudinous temptresses
Older men; hen-pecked, shrunken, impotent.
Older women; massive, over-bearing, bitter.

An odd basis for humour, but goes back to Chaucer and beyond.
