I love these videos, but it kinda makes me sad that I only ever see old people doing this kind of craftsmanship, its like we lost the ability to concentrate and focus on making things as perfect as possible.

You have many (well relatively) young blacksmiths. But extremely few young master blacksmiths.
If they stick around they might become masters.
In Sweden they have scholarships for traditional crafts. It is seen as national herritage.

My partner recently had one of those DNA things done. I'm dubious about them. She got mostly Scots/Irish with some Norwegian (bloody vikings ) and 15% Finnish. She was delighted but had no idea how that had come about. Obviously she had bits and pieces of others, but that much Finnish and no family stories?Frustrating.
