We've all learned that most white males in the media can kind of get away with anything as long as there are enough people that still back them and the money continues to roll in, but once their antics start hurting the bottom line, that's when people in charge start debating whether or not the white guy in question is worth keeping around.
Case in point: Bill O'Reilly. His little partisan show, "The O’Reilly Factor," has been chugging along for 17 seasons and Fox has weathered all of his bullshit, from his 5 out-of-court sexual harassment settlements to last week's embarrassment when he deflected and attacked Maxine Waters instead of answering the question that was asked of him (a classic conservative move, apparently).
So with over 20 advertisers pulling their ads from 'The O’Reilly Factor' on Fox (as of writing this), it's just a matter of time before Fox has to make some interesting decisions. We all know Fox's life blood is controversy -- it keeps ratings (and paranoia) up -- but with big advertisers like Mercedes-Benz, Hyundai, BMW, Mitsubishi, Lexus, Constant Contact, Bayer, Ainsworth Pet Nutrition, Orkin, UNTUCKit, Allstate, and Esurance gone, O'Reilly is fucking with Fox's money and that's usually where the line is drawn in the corporate world.
