Difficult to get a sense of scale, could be a fairly hefty meteorite. Seen similar myself.

if it was going to burn up, it would have done it long before reaching the point in the video where it seems to catch fire, otherwise it would have been burning the entire fall to earth...it is not something from space

onoffonoffon nailed it. They're flares intended to attract heat-seeking missiles away from the plane. We use them when taking off and landing in hostile areas.

Well it looked like it was falling- tumbling, and not fast enough to burn up due to friction- so? Dunno.
