Dang, her teeth were more messed up than mine were! The pain and ugliness was bad enough, but worse, no matter how I tried to keep them clean, my teeth ended up on a cycle of rot. Cavities galore. Later, root canals and crowns. Of course, this was back in the days of railroad track braces.

i had a lot of teeth out to correct an overbite- glad I did, but at least they left my teeth looking normal- I find these perfect white smiles creepy- things should look like nature created them- not man.

When I was 13 I had 4 teeth pulled and braces "installed" which I wore for the next 4 years, painfully enduring a "tightening" every other week.

After my braces were removed I had my 4 wisdom teeth removed to prevent them from causing future problems.

It so altered the geometry of my upper palette and sinus cavities that it has become almost impossible to breath through my nose and now I must use a CPAP machine to sleep at night and get any rest whatsoever.

They know *now* not to pull teeth to "re-adjust" a bite profile for this very reason.

As long as she keeps them out of the way, it's no impediment to a successful date night.

The reason why I love my job so much is that I love helping people get their smiles and confidence back, and I love helping them get out of horrible severe tooth pain..I have not had a weekend off in years, because I love helping those who are in need..(tooth pain does not care if you have a job, family, and home to care for)Call me crazy but I love dental success stories

Local rumor has it that a kid's dad I went to high school with came up with a better way...Tom Cruise supposedly had it done. Wilkodontics: they bust up your mouth and reset the teeth properly. You body treats is as traumatic injury and heals permanently proper.

I had braces for 4 years. The orthodontist only said it was going to take 2 years, lies. It was really worth it though, the braces did help with the overbite I had and helped aline my teeth.

I'm damned impressed. Looking at the original state of her teeth, I would have thought some tooth removal or surgery would've been required. I don't say that to be mean, just thought that a couple of those might have to be pulled. Very cool! Yay, medical knowledge!

Ahhh braces.. the most torturous 2 years of mouth pain of my life. I have some pretty nice teeth now though. Never understood why my mother was working 3 jobs to pay for something that was causing me so much discomfort.. and all the teasing and nick names. I am very appreciative now though.
