I'm a huge fan of his work, have pretty much all what he ever did. Really sad, he went too soon. RIP Rik, that bastard.

Apart from the usual (Young Ones, Black Adder, etc.) I would recommend Believe Nothing, great series but sadly only one season.

'The Young Ones' was brilliant.

The Peoples' Poet will be missed.

The only thing I ever saw Mayall in was "Drop Dead Fred," and he did a great job in that.

The Young Ones was the first TV show me and my dad really enjoyed together.

I was pretty shocked the other day when he died, and yeah Patch he was a comedy icon over here for people of my generation.

Okay- for those us us in the UK he was part of our humour. I came back from the pub as a teenager to watch 'The Young Ones' - he was just there- funny, sexy in an odd way, irreverent, schoolboy humour and so full of life. most people are honestly gutted and shocked...

a bit late- but I reckon al of us submitted this the day it happened. Ade Edmonson said it best- 'he went and died before me- the Bastard...'

Okay...I looked him up. I think the only things I ever saw him in were a couple episodes of Black Adder. Seemed like a funny guy. I guess he must have been very popular over there?
