I nominate Gerry as IAB's "superfruit".

Yeah, the pichuberry is okay, but it gets much better when it evolves into the much more powerful pikachuberry. And don't even get me started in the raichuberry. Really packs a punch!

Is it just me or do the first too also look like berries that are poisonous?

There are no such things as super foods, it's made up garbage. However there are foods that can supply all of the essential nutrients we require, potatoes are a great example of that.

Dunno- we have some very well tended allotments, but no one grow anything terribly fancy- cabbages, carrot, ptoatos etc. The exotic stuff is okay- but really I don't think fruit travels well. Avocados seem to be okay- but ye gods- a Strawberry from Spain is just wrong and nasty.

This is hogwash, but...

I do know about a pair of magical berries. Mind the stem, and the berries will provide.

@madduck,

somehow this option seems to be more appealing in southern than in northern countries ...

(switch terms if you're living in the southern hemisphere)

Madduck wants us to go back in time. The whole eat local movement is full of a bunch of Luddites.

Don't get me wrong- I am sure these are delicious, and for those who can get them they are very good for you. How about us stop thinking faddy diets with foods flown from abroad. or in heated greenhouses will make us any healthier. How about a sensible diet- lots of fresh local veg, a little meat or fish, a little dairy and some other stuff- nice wholemeal bread, some beans etc. I know lots of people with allotments- they eat tones of home grown veg- and they are all a pretty healthy lot, what with the digging etc.
