Show me a robot which can make coffee and do a bacon sammie and talk on the phone, whilst combing hair and putting a shirt on at the same time
then I will be impressed

Yeah, Gerry, gays and women just don't get the fascination with Lego.

that a robot can solve the cub in 3 seconds doesn't amaze me, but human being in 5 seconds, that's really something.

How incredibly useless - this defeats the purpose of a Rubik's Cube.

And WHY did this get a Guinness Worlds Record (thanks for the video links, SmagBoy!)?!? We are now giving them out to machines? Gee, I could probably come up with three or four machines that could take them away from venerated record holders that actually *did* something out of the ordinary to achieve that honor...

I never get these "solve the cube" challenges. Is the starting arrangement always the same? Is the starting arrangement always the exact same number of perfect twists from the solution?

I mean, how do they make sure the challenge itself is always at the same level?

Link: Lego Robot With A Smartphone Brain [Pic] [Rate Link] - Shatters the Rubik's Cube world record. It did the task in 3.253 seconds, faster than any human or robot in the world.
