Jeremy Irons was Scar in the Lion King, that's all I'll be able to hear whenever he talks...

I'll give him a chance but only because I enjoyed 'Zombieland'.

What a stupid concept. Superman kills batboy with one punch, unless of course batman has kryptonite and then batsissy kills superman. It is a 5 second battle depending on if kryptonite is involved.

I suggested a follow-up to this story as its own link, but, in case it doesn't make it, here's a pretty funny take on how Eisenberg's Luthor came to hate Superman.

I wouldn't have thought Heath Ledger could have done a convincing Joker either..... until I saw it.

This movie has so much potential to be really effing good flick that I will reserve my judgement until after I have seen it.

@ iamatreehugger, I meant I won't say anything against Eisenberg. Because of those others I will wait and give them their chance.

This may surprise a few, but I am not saying a word.

Everyone dis'd Anne Hathaway. Said she could never be Catwoman and damn if she didn't pull it off! And everyone said "NO WAY Tom Cruise could be Lestat" and he was great!!!

So I am withholding judgment on Eisenberg & Affleck to see what they do. Hollywood is magic, you never know what they'll do.

Yeah Bomb Tom! Damn Straight! And while we're at it we'll stop Stephen Fry from making TV and Elton John from releasing music, because hell, those knob jockeys are gonna infect our children with the queer!

PMSL. You're funny!

First they cast that israeli twit as Wonder Woman and now this jew who has no business playing Lex. This movie's more about strengthening zionism in Hollywood than telling a story.

@FaulknA: FAIL. He's not TALENTED enough for the role. He plays the same character in every single movie he's in. That pretentious sissy douchebag type.

The movie is already guaranteed suck. They might as well go full out and screw it in every way possible.

DC lost to Marvel in the movie arena a long time ago. They can cast a movie with every major star in the world and it's not going to make a difference at this point.

Lex Luthor is ultra confident. I don't see that from Jesse Eisenberg. He may be able to pull off the "full of himself" part, but he doesn't strike me as confident and powerful.
Maybe he can break from his typecasting. Still this is weird.

"Smallville" had a baby-faced Luthor, but that fit because he was supposed to be young.

Gene Hackman's Luthor was a joke. Kevin Spacey's take, and the Luthor from the cartoon series, were too smooth.

The best thing about the original Luthor was that, despite the evil genius thing, he was a pretty rough guy. He had a gritty edge that's been missing , as in ....

Which Luthor do the makers of the new movie want?

Link: Jesse Eisenberg Is Lex Luthor - Yup [Pic] [Rate Link] - Eisenberg has been cast as Luthor in the new Superman/Batman movie along with Ben Affleck. Is this a win or fail I-A-B?
