Does Obama get his own list of top 10 lies? Might have to make it 20 for him if they have difficulty choosing just 10 important ones.

@broizfam: Actually? Quite a few conservatives did NOT like Bush's draconian spying laws at all!

Bush's DHS Laws = X
Obama's DHS Laws = X+3

Obama EXPANDED the spying, a lot! It's the "+3" that most 'conservatives' object to! That's not hypocritical at all!

Same for drone strikes: targeting known enemies in a 'war zone' = acceptable to most conservatives.
Targeting American Citizens SUSPECTED to be in a house = NOT acceptable! For a variety of reasons. But that's what Obama is doing.

@toeachhisown: It's true: they really did "have evidence" of WMDs, and not finding that many (they DID find SOME after all!) doesn't disprove their evidence until years later!
We had every reason to "go into" Iraq and remove Saddam, the WMDs were just "frosting on the cake" to make it acceptable for the general public...

US legislation and foreign policy affects the whole world. We have a right to comment

SO do many other countries especially China the place you live but I never see you and other self righteous eurotrash banter on about it. Your spite for everything USA is quite clear Cpt. Pedo.

If the Bush Administration KNEW there were no WMD's before invading then they lied. IF they thought and were convinced there were WMD's (as most of the western intelligence agencies thought) then they were wrong but did not lie... just saying.

@5Cats,
I haven't missed the point. I don't like the spying now, didn't like it when it started, and feel it should be stopped. The fact remains that many conservatives who applauded it when G.W. started it think it's a horrible thing now that it's happening under a Democratic president. That may not be the absolute height of hypocrisy but I think it gets pretty close. ie - if it was good under Bush, why is it bad under Obama? I think it's just bad, without regard for who is presiding over it.

They're playing pretty fast and loose with the definition of a lie. They also betray their blatant left-wing political bias. Bush wasn't the only one to say Saddam had WMDs.

Democrat Quotes on Iraq Weapons of Mass Destruction.

@WhoDat: Are you trying to be funny? Honestly, you are being obtuse on purpose, right?

Obama (and the Dems) ADDED $300 Billion to the "Bush Budget" (written & passed by the Dems) AFTER the 2008 election: it's a fact!

Take the average deficit for Bush, and the average deficit for Obama and tell me: which is HIGHER?

Sweet Singing Shiites Man! I hope to goodness you're just joking...

The USA did not even HAVE a "2012 budget": only one has passed since Obama took office! It's all smoke and mirrors, which will be "revised upwards" I have no doubt...

@broizfam: You've missed the point: Obama promised to STOP doing those "evil things" which he opposed as a Senator. But he INCREASED THEM! That doesn't mean "Bush Lied" it means OBAMA LIED. Sheesh. Same for the "Evil Bush Tax Cuts" that Obama re-signed... twice...

5cats - WHY do wee need to hear the same opinion over and over? You're Canadian, so why should you keep voicing opinions about Americas inside politics?

Canada has it's own problems, why don't you deal with your own faults before criticizing others?

Put simply as possible...
No one cares about your opinions enough to hear them multiple times on a daily basis...we all know how you feel, though you don't have a right to care.

Your political posts rate extremely low, still you post. The majority of IAB doesn't agree with your political views. The ones who do agree, already know what you feel.

You are quick to criticize politicians who openly defie the peoples will, but you act the same way...as if it is o.k. to say "fu*k what people want...when they are wrong according to me!"

I DO like you. I also agree with much of your politics, but maybe enough is enough.

Less politics on IAB! (especially from Canadians)

MeGrendel,
You should've said, "Obama continues the spying started by George W. Bush, and applauded at that time by the same conservatives who now only blame Obama", etc.

@MrPeabody,
I always thought the "didn't inhale" comment was enormously stupid. Either he did inhale, in which case he was lying and shouldn't be elected president, or he actually didn't inhale, in which case he was an idiot and shouldn't be elected president. It was a lose/lose comment.

So, I think it was 50 years ago that Kennedy tried his healthcare reform. It was universally panned by conservatives as socialist, a failure, a fraud, lies, etc., etc. How did it turn out? Oh, yeah, Medicare.
