You mean the format DD/MM/YY? My understanding is the UK adopted that format in the early 20th century. So it seems reasonable that someone might use that format at that time.

Please feel free to elaborate if you have more details. You've piqued my curiosity.

Date formatting at bottom gives away the shenanigans of this one.

Any review of old letters, census records, or newspapers show that type of date formatting was not used till much later. Plus any educated gentleman does not place the date at the bottom, it goes at the top right... and im a complete slob and know that one.
