@som-tam and the others that are criticising this - Don't be so harsh, just because you didn't do well at school doesn't mean you won't do well at university. I failed most things at school and pretty much just got C's and D's for everything. I went into a certificate at University and worked my way up eventually getting A's for everything, now I am about to finish my PhD and already have a full time job lecturing lined up. You don't know the story about this kids life, that C is just the start of good things to come. It is people like @som-tam that keep kids like this down..

Why does someone who is not, by his own admission, academically gifted need a C so badly? What is he going to do with that grade? if he goes onto A-levels then uni he will struggle, scrape through with a 3rd then go on the dole with 30'000 of debt to his name. Why does his dad care? surely this non-academic boy would have already looked into non-academic alternatives such as a trade so his grade would be inconsequential. Most apprenticeships are not that strict about what grades you got as long as you get up and go to work everyday.

so IMO its fake, if its real then he's about to waste a lot of time and money on higher education.

@MrPeabody,
I don't get why that makes you think it's fishy.

Hmmm something is fishy, if you read the Youtube description he says:
ive never been amazing academically and have struggled through out school , neither me or my dad or my teachers thought I was going to get my C , I know some of you might be saying , well an c is nothing but for me it was hard to get

But then he has the wherewithal to add:

Aww, what a good boy, bless him.
It's not easy to be the parent of a child with learning difficulties and the amount of work that a devoted parent puts in to assisting with their child's academic success can be immense.
That C in math was probably the equivalent of parental pride that the father would have experienced had his son won a Nobel Prize.
