Freddie Mercury did not die, he ascended to Mount Olympus. I cannot possibly believe anything else.

Brilliant! I have to wonder, though, with all his money why he never got that outrageous overbite fixed.

This is the opening ceremony for 1992 Olympics. No live concert just prerecorded with pictures(travelogue).

@RdDan

It was 1988 when that concert took place, but for the ceremony it was played over a Travelogue.

Whatever the case may be for what or when or who, that this is a powerful song cannot be denied.

I was going to dismiss this as shockingly bad miming or 'playback' as i believe you North Americans call it; but then i remembered Freddie died in 1991 so couldn't possibly have participated in this concert which appears to be the opening ceremony for the 1992 Barcelona Olympics.
So are the crowd watching a big screen of Freddie and Montserrat at a previous concert with a live orchestra miming along?
The backing singers are definitely miming, they all seem to sound like a slightly vocoded Freddie.

RIP, you were a legend. We lost you before your time and we are all poorer for it.

Goosebumps - this man was so unique. The remaining members of Queen are planning a motion picture about his life. They just turned down "Borat" as Freddy because he is too clownish. I can't wait to see this movie. I hope to see some impressions of the eccentric parties he arranged with dwarfs serving cocaine on silver plates. ;)

One of the greatest voices in music. Think of how much more music he could have brought us were he still alive. R.I.P. Freddie.

Oh Freddy, why couldn't you be like Sir Paul? Still around, still making music, still entertaining us now. With the rest of Queen behind you, or by yourself, the world of music would be such a better place if we had you here with us today.
