@handimanner: Oh, you're a "Truther" eh? Funny how "the truth" never once enters your world-view.
Invading Iraq = UN Mandated
Tell me again how Obama's invasion of Syria was:
- authorized by the UN
- authorized by Congress (as REQUIRED by the US Constitution)

Yes, Afghanistan was only sanctioned by NATO, like Clinton in Serbia, BUT at least Bush (and Clinton) obeyed the Constitution!

I have many questions about 9/11, and doubt the "Official Story" but KOOKS LIKE YOU make reasonable discussion difficult...

Hmmmm. Start a frikken war to retaliate for an act that still is questionable (Building 7?). Then, pull resources to start another war on the basis of manufactured evidence of WMD! "No Child Left Behind" never funded - in fact, Bush's legacy is a laundry list of stuff promised but never funded, including his frikken wars, the reason our economy, that and his buddies stashing bucks offshore (say Ken Lay).
Take your tea party bull and shove it where the Bush brain cells don't shine!

@handimanner: You're blaming the wrong "side" for this.

@OldOllie pointed out you CAN see Russia from Alaska. He said nothing about Obama. He's mocking Tina Fey and the spoon-fed libtards.

@paperduck then brought the 2008 Political Campaign into the picture: HE brings Obama into it.

@LordJim repeated some "false truths" on the issue: what really was or was not said.

I then pointed out the "true truth": Palin did indeed say "from one island". It's a fact, not a TV Comedy Skit.

THEN some IDIOT comes along and tries to BLAME BUSH! BUUUUUUUUSH did it worse!!! That makes Obama = GREAT!!!!

Jeez, I'm so sick of seeing every topic being turned into a anti-Obama rant by republican 'tards. Sure, the guy (O) has struggled fixing the economy and sitting in a room firing predator missiles at everything that moves is hardly diplomatic.
But all of it PALES next to Bush's ineptitude at everything the texas twat touched.

@LordJim: And that is EXACTLY what Palin said! "From one island..." but was cut off by the BIASED interviewer.

She NEVER said "From my porch" or suggested it was "from the mainland" at all. Never.

@paperduck: She listed "Negotiated a treaty with Russia" in her resume... and that is TRUE! And it's exactly 1 MORE than Obama negotiated as a Senator...
Keep in mind: She ran for VICE president. John McCain's international experience was MASSIVE! HUGE! IMPRESSIVE!

So the MSM ignored it! And attacked Palin.
And ignored that both Obama and Biden were "small fish" compared to McCain...

And now? We have "Obama In Syria"...

Old Ollie,

Probably not from mainland Alaska, except under exceptional circumstances.

However, Russia and Alaska are divided by the Bering Strait, which is about 55 miles at its narrowest point. In the middle of the Bering Strait are two small, sparsely populated islands: Big Diomede, which sits in Russian territory, and Little Diomede, which is part of the United States. At their closest, these two islands are a little less than two and a half miles apart, which means that, on a clear day, you can definitely see one from the other.

Not that there are many clear days, also Big Diomede is uninhabited except for a weather station and Little Diomede has a population of 135.

So 'You an see Russia from Alaska' is only true if you mean 'From one tiny, remote, sparsely populated and difficult to reach island on the Alaskan side of the Bering Strait you can often see a remote, virtually uninhabited island on the Russian side.'

"Oldollie it isn't that which was mocked, it's listing seeing Russia as a "foreign affairs credential"

And Barack Obama's foreign affairs credentials were...what?

Tina Fey portrayed Sarah Palin as saying she could see Russia from her house, and millions of low-information f***tard Obama voters were convinced that Palin actually it.

How Obama got elected.

Russia & America are less than 4 km apart at the nearest point.

Wow! So you really CAN see Russia from Alaska. I guess Tina Fey was just being a lying liberal khunt.

I'd never heard of most of these before. Interesting. Especially the pluto comparison.
