Modwain - That sounds like it sucks. Good thin you aren't American, because I would hate to have my taxes wasted changing a statewide computer and ID system to accommodate one person. Really though, It doesn' appear to be the same situation. She was quoted saying that she would not consider shortening her name to suit the system.

It appears that she decided "screw everyone else, I won't consider shortening my name...even if it costs everyone else.

well, i am sorry but if your database needs to be rewritten cause of this, it sucked to begin with. i had the same problem with my name a few years back, the computer system made to help make things easier did not want to accept my name. legaly though this ment that bills sent to me were not sent to me but someone with a difference in his or her last name. As soon as this was pointed out, wow,it really got changed fast.

Oh sure, because the governments entire database can be rewritten to accommodate one person. No problem.

It's a little weird considering it's not even her own name. It's like she wants attention.

Just have her write it on a little whiteboard and hold it up in her picture. Then in the text section, just put "See picture."

I hope the gubment trails her, and places law suits every time she goes by something short, or fails to write the whole damned thing.

I wouldn't want my tax dollars being spent to replace computer systems just to accommodate her stupid name.

What an effin stupid thing to fight so hard about. I sure bet she feels special now.

Of course it is an irritating white woman. "This doesn't suit my wants properly, you have to pay to change it." Read this little book, it is meant for children so most of you can get it. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tikki_Tikki_Tembo

I can see her point. If that's her name, then why change it or condense it just to appease the people that put a computer system in place?

Good for her. However...I would want a name change personally. Too dang long!

Here's another version.

More than just a name, it's like a full sentence as a name.

Link: Woman Wins Right To Use Her Name.[Pic+] [Rate Link] - Newsreader seems rather smug pronouncing it.
