It interesting how all these liberals are so hard on this whole Syria thing, yet they fail to even once, at any point, mention that THEIR Barack is in power, and it is his complete and total ineptitude with foreign policy and amateurish bumblings that got us into this mess in the first place... It is AMERICA that cares that he gassed his own people... it was the PRESIDENTS own words that backed us in this corner... no mention of that?!?!?

@LordJim: Cruise missiles are about $1.5M each.
"Smart Bombs" are much cheaper, but if an aircraft is lost it's MUCH more costly PLUS a Soldier's Life is lost!
Cruise Missiles CANNOT damage "hardened targets" which is where ALL of Assad's assets will be given 11 days WARNING!
Assad also has the BEST anti-air defences this side of Russia...
I AGREE! Walk away!
The time to pick a side was... 15 months ago! It's WAY too late now...

Syria is an omnishambles we should stay away from. There is no possible western intervention which would not make it worse.
How much would it cost, at several million dollars per missile? Take that money and, if you believe that people sharing the same planet should help each other when they can, put it into humanitarian relief for the ordinary families displaced and looking at another winter.
The whole blowing things up and killing people thing; they've already got that covered. That's redundant. Do we have friends over there? Maybe, but they're probably dead. If they aren't we should offer hospitality.
Let Turkey and the Arab League take the lead role. Intervention in the middle east is not working well as a policy. It's time the region grew up.
I'm all for humanitarian aid and offering asylum to those who thought a progressive solution was possible and who are now screwed.
When there is no side to pick, walk away.

"From now on English muffins shall be known as "Liberty Toast"!-Stephen Colbert, "How to Sell a War". XD
Why not quote that speech? That one's hilarious!

John Stewart said it way better, actually.
And Colbert's analogy is dumb. Do I really need to explain why?

Man I'm just digging the smattering the Stewart/Colbert have been giving Obama over Syria.
