@ obhwfgirl - your dad sounds great. But I don't think anyone needs all that pressure. The pressure comes from trying to get it all when you can't. Time we all were adults. Realize we cannot have it all and be happy with the things we choose.

Don't let the things you cannot have stop you from enjoying the life you do have.

"Um...boo hoo? Is this supposed to make me feel bad for men in general because I don't feel bad for anyone in general. Nobody gets it all, why should they?"

A fine sentiment. One that I share when the feminazis open their mouths.

Come to Hong Kong. Two maids and a driver. If I yelled 'coffee bitch' right now, it would appear. And I'm not even at home.

Gerry, I completely agree, but men should have just as much pressure and opportunity to be a stay-at-home dad. I was raised by a stay-at-home dad until I was 12 and it was awesome.

I'm glad men are starting to feel the guilt for not spending time with their children. My dad was not detached, but loving Ward Cleaver. He was engaged, fun, proactive, sympathetic. I am with a fantastic man right now because my father taught me what a good man is.

By the same token, women should have just as much pressure to be breadwinners. To provide for their families financially. A college friend's life plan was to get her PT masters and then get married and be a stay-at-home mom. Why even bother with the masters?

My grandmother was bitter and selfish her entire life because she expected to be a stay-at-home mom, but then her husband got sick and was unable to work so she had to work instead. Who do you think got hurt in the end? The kids.

Brought to you by College Degree Search

is a revolutionary online class created by two lifestyle designers. You see we saw this huge problem.

High schools have a class for English, Math, Science, History, and just about everything else. One huge thing was missing. No one was teaching you how to choose the right college, find financial aid, and start a successful career.

We call it “The Gap”. The education no one told you you’d need to truly be successful.

We wanted to put an end to this infamous problem by creating College Degree Search. We were able to team up with universities, educational organizations, and top advisers to create a step by step blueprint to give you the tools needed to find the right college, get your degree faster, and save thousands of dollars in the process.

Our website, blueprint, and vision all revolve around a single goal: to give student s the education necess

Why can't men have it all?
I can answer very easily...because NO ONE gets it all. Life is full of choices. You choose the best path for you but there is always the path-not-chosen and that's where all the other stuff is.
