@drawman61 - why don't a group of you folks who think it was faked actually spend a bit of your money on faking your own... after all, you know all the tricks used, *plus* modern technology is cheap enough that a few of you can afford to do it.

As part of your hoax, I like you to do the following:
1. Fake the signal so that the tracking stations around the world believe that you are in transit to the moon/orbiting the moon
2. Fake the placing of a laser reflector, so that you can fool the scientific world that they are receiving a reflected signal from a *specific* point on the moon, like NASA and the US Govt managed to do
3. Ensure that you have approx. 400,000 people involved - and then ensure that *all* of them are willing to go to their graves within the next 60 years *without* feeling guilty enough to admit the hoax
4. Ensure that you have approx. 20,000 companies and organisations helping you, so that they can all help you cover it up

I'm so sick of people claiming the moon landing was faked and using the same tired old arguments that have been debunked time and time again. The entire conspiracy theory is based entirely on people's ignorance of the facts. They think that if they say it with enough confidence that people will believe them.

Maybe the conspiracy theorists here could further display their ignorance of science by explaining that there should've been a blast crater under the lander or how the radiation from the Van Allen belts would have killed the crew?

Wow! That is among the dumbest, most ignorant bullsh*t I've ever seen! How old is that piece of trash? Do they really expect us to believe that the craft was in low Earth orbit merely because they said it was so often?

The astronauts are comfortable in Nevada, free to wander about Las Vegas with showgirls, except for some check-ins with Mission Control. They partake of the excellent buffet served on the 24th floor of the Sands Hotel and watch color television broadcasts from a private Telstar satellite

Seriously? That's what Bill Kaysing wanted the world to believe? I can say he's wacky now that he's dead...unlike when he sued Jim Lovell for saying it back in 1996. It was dismissed for obvious reasons.

Go away. This old debate is not entertaining or enlightening in the slightest. I am not interested in playing chess with a pigeon today.

We all know the Earth is hollow and the Moon is just a projection on a crystal sphere.

There are real conspericies the people should be worried about. Not this Nonsence. Things like the Governments willingness to test bioweapons on US citizens. There are multiple examples of this in documented history such as project Buzz in the 1950s or MKUltra experiments in the 1970s, Nerve gas testing in NY tunnles, 1980s, etc...

If you zoom all the way in on Google maps of the moon you actually see the truth, It is made of cheese. The degradation of the original footage was due to sdeveral factors the Tv camera the Astronoughts had was highly modified to weigh only 7 pounds, the standard cameras of the day were about 40 to 60 pounds. This stripping down of the camera left it with low resolution and a very weak sending signal. Also the signal was sent from over 250 thousand miles away with a very low powered transmitter.

I'm assuming Drawman put this here for us to mock, and not to convince us.

ferdyfred-"lets just say the Earth is flat..."

And is resting on the backs of four giant elephants (or is it five?) which, in turn, stand on the back of a giant turtle, Great A'Tuin, as it swims slowly through the ether.

Where is it heading? Only the Great A'Tuin knows.

Oh for poo's sake.

We went to the Moon. More than once. We left behind landers and telemetry and even an optical reflector that's still there and still in use.

Freakin' morons.

What did you think, that they could rocket a 5 ton news van with a satellite dish, news crew, and power station to the moon?

@ crakrjak, but you don't see a problem with rocketing a LEM that nearly killed Armstrong on his one and only test-flight or a rover that even NASA can't agree on whether or how it folded up to fit inside?
It doesn't reflect badly on you guys because your government lied.
Maybe Watergate was a lie and Clinton getting caught out was a lie and you really did win in Vietnam.

Not surprising at all. Nice to see something that might actually be proof of the governments lies, though.

The problem wasn't in recording color TV on the moon, the problem was transmitting it live via the very limited bandwidth available. They knew ahead of time that was going to be a problem and built special low weight, low bandwidth, low power TV cameras.

What did you think, that they could rocket a 5 ton news van with a satellite dish, news crew, and power station to the moon?
