They are all wonderful except the first one. Sorry, but just like not all Muslims are terrorists not all Christians need to have someone apologize for them. I am a Catholic and while the Catholic church officially does not condone gay marriage nearly every Catholic I know would still give the shirt off their back to help someone regardless of their sexual orientation. Other Christian denominations are not so kind. Catholics that do not treat gay people as Jesus commands are, IMHO< not practicing the faith as described in the Catechism.

I liked this post a lot. Although not as much as the humorous dichotomy between the heart-warming post and the pettiness of the IAB comments about it.

If you're so biased that you're going to parse the difference between apologizing for being biased pricks and condemning being terrorist pricks, be my guest. [..] My point is that this excellent post was celebrating good in humanity. Keep tearing it down if you want, though, if that's what makes you feel good.

So you know you're wrong, you've been caught out making false claims and your only response is to go on the attack with more false claims and accusations.

Please carry on. You're making yourself look bad.

Perhaps you should pay some attention to that guy on the right (did you even look at the picture you're talking about, which wasn't about people apologising for being biased pricks?) and take responsibility for your own actions.

Or just rant out some random false statements again. If you do, I'll come by some time to point those out too.

Angilion, the links I supplied from a simple one-second search showed as many Muslims speaking against terrorism as there were former Christians apologizing for discrimination of gays by the Christian church. It's not my job to find apologists for an religion. I'm an atheist. If you're so biased that you're going to parse the difference between apologizing for being biased pricks and condemning being terrorist pricks, be my guest. I could give a poo. My point is that this excellent post was celebrating good in humanity. Keep tearing it down if you want, though, if that's what makes you feel good.

I can appreciate the sentiment in helping someone reach the finish line in a race, but it's not really a good thing because it invalidates their entire race. They may as well have stayed at home and watched TV or driven round the course in a car. By helping them, you've removed any chance they had of finishing the race. Which isn't helping them.

Regardless of the religion, I don't think it's awesome for people to apologise for things they haven't done and have no responsibility for and I think it's a bad thing to expect anyone to do so.

The person apologising for having been a bible-banging homophobe in the past is doing a good thing because he's apologising for a harmful thing that he did and is therefore responsible for.

The person apologising for the actions of the church (whichever church he's refering to) is not, unless he was or is the dictator of that church.

People apologising for things other people did is at best misguided.

SmagBoy1...did you not notice that none of the links you supplied contained what you claimed they contained? Or did you just hope no-one would check? Almost half the Muslims in the video weren't even being quoted saying terrorism was wrong (despite the description of the video, which was clearly false). They were quoted as saying that terrorism was bad publicity for Islam, which is a very different thing.

chicagojay, perhaps you are blind? Or just willfully ignorant? How about if you read this, or this, or maybe this?

But, hey, nothing like taking a feel good post, one that celebrates ALL humanity, and making it into something bigoted and prejudiced.

Now, let's see some Muslims do this. "Sorry Muslims stoned you for being raped when you were 12" and "Sorry we shot you in the head on the way to school because of your genitals". "

This list was just fantastic!

And now of course, this little musical number is obligatory- "DON'T STOP BELIEVING! HOLD ON TO THAT FEEEHEELAAN!" (Yes I've been known to sing Journey when I need a pick me up, works like a charm, try it sometime!)

"yup, white people patting themselves on the back again." A rather stupid thing to say. Or are you so disgusted by people who aren't white that your brain filters them out?
