And "Black Adder" where I actually thought Rowan Atkinson looked sexy. wow, from that to Mr. Bean. sheesh.

The first season of Blackadder was like a medieval Mr Bean. It was rubbish.

For those of you across the pond who like some classic British comedy, I suggest Yes, Minister and Yes, Prime Minister. It's something you might well overlook for the reason carmium gave - since it's a comedy about UK politics, it would be reasonable to think that it wouldn't be funny elsewhere. It works in pretty much any bureacratic democracy, although some small parts are UK-specific (e.g. references to the biases in specific newspapers).

"Yes Samantha show and tell can be anything.

Except if it's a special doctor showing you a doll and telling you to use it to point to where I touched you after PE last week."

"There class, that's how you use acid for experiments.

"We'll carry on to the marijuana experiment once all the unicorns have gone."

We've gotten sidetracked.
I posted this hoping people would participate, post their own "Bad Thing for Teacher To Say".

Blackadder still rocks!

I used to watch "To the Manor Born" and "Butterflies". Of course, there was "Absolutely Fabulous". Loved that show! Entered a contest once to visit the show. Didn't win :(

wow, that's just brought back a few memories Gerry. My mum always stopped whatever she was doing whenever to the Manor Born came on.

We had a show called "Who's Line is it Anyway" hosted by Drew Carey. I loved that show. It went away for a while but I just saw a promo for it so maybe it's coming back. Reminds me of the exercises we did in an improv class I took. A lot of fun trying to think on my feet!

listy - it's all youtube. We don't get most british shows, but I like them. Qi, Graham Norton, Mock the Week or classics like To the Manor Born, Thin Blue Line, As Time Goes By.

Listy: I've never seen it in the TV listings, and I'm not surprised. The finer points of jokes about the British school system, for example, just don't translate in the US or Canada, nor would much about Brit celebrities, politics, traffic, etc. It's happened before with other shows.

Ah, classic Frankie Boyle..:)

Do you get Mock the Week on TV over there or does it having to be Youtubed/Downloaded?
