It's probably a felony in some parts of the land of the (semi)free

i don't see how each of the things listed can't already be done via a cell phone.

fancy - you might have more credibility if your site didn't use 38 cookies...even if you ignore the google analytics ones there's a hell of a lot

We will see the true use of these when the first batch of videos start appearing on YouTube showing the plastic bits penetrating some blokes eyeball as he falls off his mountain bike and face-plants.

I thought of the positive applications of "google glasses" just days ago.
1) Google maps or similar - never be lost again.
2) Eye controlled internet search - increased onhand information.
3) Personalised marketing - Sure bad application aswell, and i would personally like it off.
4) video game like "quests" when doing a to do list :)
5) Many more

Im sure the negative aspects are many and horrendous. But given the direction the industrial world is headed, I think this is a very natural step.

Personally I would be all over this technology, ive always felt that the smart phone thing was to clunky and unhandy.

If I can get ad block on them I might try them. I should start small first and get a cell phone and build my way up.

or, you know, you could just take them off and 4 of the 5 don't effect you

The only genuine concern I can think of is people using it while driving, but I'd presume laws would be altered before it goes on the market. I don't understand why anyone would want these though, they look stupid and don't seem to do anything a phone can't already do.

My phone does all of these things, Google Glass is literally just a smart phone for your face. So... get over it?

I am sure if someone against these glasses gets robbed or assaulted and someone nearby was wearing one of these and records it, they would be the first ones to want to use it as evidence.

People were saying the same thing years ago about putting satellites into space, and the use of security cameras, and camera phones. Point is nobody cares about your boring life so stop worrying about anybody even wasting their time on it.

how about ANY civilian can link to any cop at any time, and then we can like or dislike cop behavior, too many dislikes and the cop has to find a different line of work

Gerry (and everyone else?), the difference now is that I know where security camera are. I know that my phone can tell the world where I am. I know my computer is basically my fingerprint.

These glasses are different. These glasses are essentially policing and recording everything. In other works, if you have a conversation with some dick wearing a pair (or even just in the general vicinity), you'll be recorded whether you like it or not. I don't commit crimes on a regular basis, but I don't need my poo recorded either.

all police should be required to wear these while on duty, all arrests will be recorded, screw that, all tax payer time will be recorded and no video=no charges. I want to see civilian observers monitoring them 100% of the time on duty. lets bring the percentage of crooked cops(on duty) to 0%
