I have a spit of Irish in me, but there's also Scot, French, English, Swedish...my parents were born in Canada and my grandparents were all born in Canada (save for one swede) Sooooo I'm Canadian :D I did pinch a few bitches though |

Davy, so nice to have someone "from Old Country" weigh in on our lovely melting pot over here. Glad you approve. 
It makes for some interesting genealogical research that's for sure. I can attest that grandma's family was part Irish and part Sicilian, so you can imagine what that household was like, quick tempers and gesticulations everywhere XD

All kidding aside (that post was all meant in a bit of fun), I'm delighted that Irish culture is alive and well outside of Ireland. And here in North America people have genuine Irish roots and are proud of that, and I love that. It's one of the reasons we moved here. Feels like home, I love it.

Yeah, I'm I-A-B's resident grumpy Irishman. I posted this on Bookface recently:
And Crakrjak (my old friend), quite rightly spanked me for it, saying "Well we're sorry that there are more Irish descendants in America than in Ireland. You see the fun ones, not the grumpy ones, moved here a long time ago. And because they were feeling nostalgic and a bit isolated they decided to celebrate St. Pat's Day. Just like Italians celebrate Columbus Day and Mexicans celebrated Cinco De Mayo and the Germans celebrate Oktoberfest.
