I grew up with the word faggot in damn near every other sentence. When you called someone a faggot, you weren't necessarily meaning they are gay. Like when you call someone a mother fu@ker, you aren't necessarily saying they fu@k mothers. Just a generic put down.
But mostly...It's just too good of a cuss word to completely give up.
I've made a effort not to say faggot too often, but, for the rest of my life, it will slip out occasionally. |
