Saturday, March 16, 2013 7:30:09 PM i remember an episode of ripleys believe it or not about a guy who was getting a prosthetic for his face, because he was kind of missing most of it. his eyes, nose, and upper jaw were gone because a polar bear had eaten his face. i remember him saying, well, i remember reading the subtitles for the the poor bastard saying he could hear the sound of the polar bear chewing his flesh. |

Saturday, March 16, 2013 7:08:50 PM @ferdyfred: lolz! That's true. Really they're not so much "vicious" as they are "not afraid of humans". They do get ornery around mating season though... Also they have no idea what "fire" is. It just doesn't register in their itty-bitty bear brains that fire = hot. The guys who drive the "tundra buggies" (assuming this is Churchill Manitoba, polar bear capital of the universe) actually get to know the bears quite well. They know who's polite and who's grumpy. Do NOT feed the bears! Rules #1-5, lolz. |

Polar bears are very smart and very curious, he's just checking out what's in that big noisy thing (and if it's edible or not...)" And in addition bloody vicious when needed brave guy to do that, unless there is a guy behind him with a mini cannon! |
