My friends upstairs neighbor had a parrot that would whistle and cat call any pretty girl that walked under the window.
& then the granddad of the family died.
The parrot never made another sound. Grief stricken probably.

My dad grew up on a plantation in Guatemala, and would often come running to his mother's call of "Ji-i-i-i-i-mmy!" -only to find the parrot on the porch had called him in Mom's voice, and was "laughing" his tail feathers off at him. |

Parrots are amazing, especially the African Grey ("Whatever!").
But they're high maintanence, I'll stick to my cats... |
