Saturday, March 02, 2013 2:09:54 PM Oh, this guy is smooth! Okay, except for the Robert/Jimmy thing. I wonder if he was jailed for pulling cons on people. |

Saturday, March 02, 2013 10:55:00 AM It's 114 degrees and this cop throws his cigarette on the ground. Wonder how many roadside fires occur in his vicinity? |

Saturday, March 02, 2013 10:38:39 AM yeah, 110 makes brain no worky. that being said if you have s man with no id, and an escape convict, you probably should detain them until you can verify their identity. |

Saturday, March 02, 2013 7:43:42 AM The fugitive is pacing and moving about nervously the entire time. Huge giveaway. Not saying this is an easy situation, but in retrospect the guy is moving way too much for a regular citizen being stopped by police. |

Saturday, March 02, 2013 5:28:51 AM better 100 men go free than for 1 man to be wrongly imprisoned. |

Saturday, March 02, 2013 5:07:44 AM The guy is a good actor.. Yeah, the cop should have probably caught the name change.. But as @paperduck says, here is a cop that actually hold true to the principles that you all cry for, when there is video of some cop harassing people on the street for no reason... |

Saturday, March 02, 2013 5:01:27 AM No one ever said cops were smart. Actually, cops are pretty smart. Consider for a minute the officer treated this man respectfully and the man treated the officer with respect as well. The only thing the officer did wrong was miss the name change from Robert to Jimmy. But you have to remember, it was 114 degrees outside, it was a 10 minute friendly conversation, and the officer IS human. So he missed the name change. So what. As police confrontations go, this was a win. |

Friday, March 01, 2013 10:40:35 PM How old can we go? 2006 but still interesting. Why run when you can talk your way out of trouble? |

Friday, March 01, 2013 10:37:23 PM If he demands ID or detains first and asks questions later of an innocent person, then everyone will complain of their rights being violated. If he abides by the principle to presume innocence of citizens and interfere as little as possible with their freedom and accidently let's an escapee go, people then complain that he didn't do his job or that he's stupid. |

Well, in the cops defense, this guy was white so it's not likely he committed a crime.

Friday, March 01, 2013 5:22:16 PM Send this cop to the illegal, ineffective immigration checkpoints located well within our borders- he'll fit right in. |

Friday, March 01, 2013 5:17:24 PM That was awfully buddy-buddy from the beginning. I wish cops here were that nice; they're usually just serious. This reminds me of the Chapelle skit |
