I worked at a riverside pub, we have ducks everywhere come summer and one made her nest in a wall hung basket of petunias by the entrance. not as silly as one might initially think as the staff tended to her, protected her and finally, on hatching day put bollards up, a pillow under the basket and once the first one had jumped ( about six foot onto concrete) the rest were handed gently down. |
