According to the Star Wars wiki (Wookieepedia!) "the name and homeworld of [Yoda's"> species remains unknown" but Lucas once joked that he was "the illegitimate child of Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy." You know, that could almost describe the critter in this video... |

@mytbozak, actually, Yoda's species is never named, in any of the movies, cartoons, or books. If you weren't aware, there is a HUGE series of Star Wars books, extending (timeline-wise) from before Episode I: The Phantom Menace, to forty years or more after Episode VI: Return of the Jedi. |
