What was she worried about really, that she'd hear him and find out he has a lisp or stutter?

I love that the kid is crying. A little boy with empathy. Rare today. I mean, he ACTUALLY gets and feels for his mother. <3

Awesome. Secretly, I was kinda hoping he'd suck on some helium first, or that they'd send in the next Barry White, but whatever...

McGovern: They're working on it, not as easy as an ear though.

I know deaf-from-birth people often fear losing the strong sense of community they have with other deaf people, but this woman knew what hearing was like. Why in hell would she need convincing that she should get the implant? Did she think her son would sound like Jimmy Durante? I don't understand some people.

How about LOVE! COMPASSION! RESTORATION! HARD WORK! ?

These are all the things that are the foundation to WHY this science occurred. There must a philosophical foundation of GOODNESS in order for science to NOT BE USED for HATE DESTRUCTION LAZINESS,etc.
