Back in my squaddie days, our CO got bit by a snake and nearly died one time. On hearing about events and whilst Our Leader was still touch-and-go in hospital, one of the chaps said "is the snake alright?" |

When I was a kid, you could get 25 cents for a good snake. This would have been a gold mine. The only problem is that those little buggers BITE! They not poisonous, and the don't even draw blood, but a few hundred of them could be a bit annoying. |

I live in New England and I've seen this.
Not to this extreme, but I've stumbled across large plies of garter snakes before.
I used to find garter snakes and play with them all the time when I was a kid.
My mother used to freak out when I found one and brought it in the house and wanted to keep it. |
