Russians have dash cams, mainly for insurance reasons. The vast majority of russian insurers simply wont insure anyone who doesnt have a dash cam. |

I read an survey they did on a lot of Russians and the most common answer was that it was due to corrupt police officers trying to solicit bribes for traffic infringements that never occurred. |
