Look, Tarantino makes so awesome movies, but he's kind of a dumbass/jackass when it comes to other things. He movies are all about style, but they don't really have any of the 'deep' content that he thinks he does. Django went from being one of the best stories of any Tarantino movie to devolving into nothing more than a black guy gunning down anybody with white skin. Django is an awesome, entertaining movie, but it has no real substance and contributes nothing to society other than entertainment. |

If there was no violence in games and movies there wouldn't be realistic War movies ever, may as well pretend it never happened. Which is what it seems some groups want. |

I think violence in movies and games CAN have a negative influence, but only on people who are emotionally and mentally disturbed to begin with. No filmmaker or game designer can anticipate the actions of a random nutbag, and it's unfair to try to hold them to account for it. these type of people are going to find inspiration somewhere, it could be a book or music (Ted Bundy was apparently inspired by a Hall and Oates song) or in the case of Son of Sam, the neighbour's dog. Jesse James, Ned Kelly, Billy the kid, none of those guys had access to violent movies or games. |

It baffles me that the media in this country tailor their interviews to suit their agendas, not report news .....most are not journalists any moe......they've all become political pundits........The part that they forget is this......the media can report what they want, but we don't have to tell them anything......the problem lies when the person that owns the mic starts professing their opinion, or suggesting that if the person being interviewed doesn't answer, they are hiding something, as in this case. This interviewer wouldn't let it go; that the movie goers are owed his opinion on violence......his opinion has no relevence, and it's a FRIGGIN MOVIE. Lord help us. |

I really enjoy the 'part' where he makes a decision and sticks to it, not giving a damn about the Interviewers weasel words trying to push him toward a topic.

I honestly think he is simply calling things out that dont want to be seen. The chances of him doing that interview WITHOUT having brought out a movie are a lot lower, so you can assume the movie is the reason he is there. |

So, let's see, violent movies play in some portions of the world, not in others. Yet, there's violence all over. There's violence in the jungle where there are no movies. There's violence in desert. There's violence where no guns are allowed, and violence where there are.
I'm all for appropriately rating movies, and limiting them from being viewed by young children who can't easily tell the difference between real and not, but, otherwise, give me a break. |

I love how he's arrogant enough to think this is an "advert for his movie" instead of a set up interview by a high-brow news programme designed to make him look like a petulant douchebag whilst not mentioning his movie by name even once. Sucker. |

I don't have a problem with violence in movies/games but perhaps parents should stop using it as a babysitter. That and the whole embrace of being a thug with some groups. |

are you serious? in one you already know violence exists, you've known that since you were a little child. it's not because of a movie that you'll think "oh, I have the capability to hit someone? I didn't know that!"
in the other they're showing you a product, something you might not be aware of. "oh, they're making a new type of soda? hmm, that might actually turn out ok, i'll have to try it sometime" |

Rather humourous how he started the interview saying: "Oh my movie has started up debate about slavery" and then covers his ass saying "oh it's fantasy it's a movie"
I thought the interviewer was a twat at first but as it went on Quentin proved to be the bigger twat. |
