Agree with @darkmagic14n. And why not have a Christian form of martial art? If it gets you from wherever you are to be one step closer to God, then I say go for it. I would have loved that when I was youn...ger. What a great way to reach kids you may not be able to do otherwise. I think it would be awesome to develop a series of martial art moves based around a philosophy of christ-like principles. Again, who says it's about kicking ass? |

Quite right, there is no such thing as "Christian Karate". There is such a thing as Muslim Karate. A friend of mine does it. He said he could loan me a few DVDs of them doing their stuff, and asked if I wanted him to stick the Koran on there too? Just to be polite, I said, "sure, burn me a copy", and that's when the problems started...

Some people believe that Karate and other "martial arts" have a spiritual element which is contrary to Christain values & teachings.
Perhaps they're wrong, but it's their RIGHT to be wrong, ok?
And if the people who run the business WANT to name it that? It's their right as well.
