Thursday, January 10, 2013 11:57:37 AM @Crakr: I was tempted to put your avatar on the "good guy greg" meme and make it good guy crakr, but I'm too lazy. I'll just say you're a decent human being and leave it at that. I do have to wonder though if criminals have become more stupid, or if they've always been this stupid and new technology just lets us know how stupid they really are. |

Thursday, January 10, 2013 7:24:53 AM "Finders Keepers, Losers Weepers" Nope, for those in the UK look up 'theft by finding' - a nice policeman told me all about it when I found a burnt out moped on the way back from the pub. Who'd of thought. |

Wednesday, January 09, 2013 12:45:19 PM @Brometheus: I don't think it seems harsh at all when you consider the creep used the guy's photo to try to get girls on a dating site. Why did he pay him though? If it was me, I would have taken the phone AND the wine, just for the inconvenience. |

Wednesday, January 09, 2013 12:43:13 PM Found a neighbors smartphone outside my building one evening last year. I'd never used one before then and was hunting for one of her friends/relatives in it's contact list to call and give her back her phone. Got ahold of her mom, I believe, and told her that I'd found the phone and it's location. She came by and I gave her the phone. Got a big hug and a thank you. Even her mom thanked me, via a phone call. That was reward enough for me. |

Wednesday, January 09, 2013 12:20:22 PM He left his phone in a cab. Calling the person who stumbles across it a thief seems a bit harsh. Reminds me of the 5 people at our party who came complaining that someone stole their phone, only to realize later that they had just misplaced it because they were drunk. |
