don't know about anyone else, but if there was a TV channel devoted specifically to how everyday objects are made, it'd be one of my favorites. the history channel did a series a few years ago on paint, plastic, glue, etc. which were actually fascinating. |

The interesting part is the lateral movement of the half cylinder injection points :)

For more or better quality equipment, look for "hexagonal wire"
All wire production and or weaving equipment is interesting as it normally uses standard technology at very high speeds ( eg. twisting yarn by grandmother by hand versus moden yarn twistin machine)
Just for the fun; did you know how to make standard 25 mm (1") wire mesh?
