Go ahead, flip them off. You always want to draw the attention of the police in a negative way. Be sure to piss them off early. Good idea. not |

I was told it wasn't illegal if you do it from inside your car, but if you put your arm out the window they can nail you for improper signaling or something dumb. Cops are A-holes tho. Flipping one off may not give one the right to come after you, but my guess is they will find a reason to arrest for something. |

Friday, January 04, 2013 10:45:47 AM "still a good way to have your licence plate on the pull this prick over for anything wall" It's actually illegal for police to have a blacklist like that. The NYPD has a database of everyone who receives a summons and keeps the information (even if the persons case is dismissed) as a part of their "stop & frisk" policy. The ACLU found out and is going after them because, in keeping this list, the NYPD is actually violating state laws concerning privacy & sealed records. |

Friday, January 04, 2013 10:06:54 AM If you're so thin skinned that somebody flipping you off makes you throw your cop weight around you should be looking for a new line of work. |

Friday, January 04, 2013 9:53:39 AM Freedom of expression taken to the extreme? Also remember you CANNOT do this if an officer gives you an instruction. Even if is a very simple one. |

Friday, January 04, 2013 8:57:12 AM Making an obscene gesture at a cop is usually against a local ordinance but, I'd say it's also free speech. |
