if I had to guess, I'd say that this frame was shot at about a 30th of a second shudder speed..( the slight blurring could be as a result of hand shaking ) |

That's not that long of a shutter speed. You can still see wave and plume details. But why am I talking photography when someone mentions "taken normally" and means when I press the button on my all automatic settings camera? |

Someone took a long and dangerous walk out on the Kona, Hawaii coast to take that photo.
People have died walking out there, falling into lava sinkholes. |
