Wednesday, December 26, 2012 3:08:48 AM A stuffed black dude on a Japanese bike? Are they going to bury him with that, or keep him on display? It's going to be hard to fit him in a box now that RM has set in. |

Tuesday, December 25, 2012 7:10:37 PM ...What? What do you think America is? As if people just swagger down the street with guns on their hip, unafraid of getting into fights because of it? Honestly, just the sight of a gun in public is enough to make most people start to panic a little. It's NOT that common an occurrence, and plenty of people get punched in the face. Yes, that is exactly what I think America is like. It's not like I've been over to visit or anything, or was being sarcastic for rhetorical effect before. Don't get confused and think I'm being sarcastic with this post either. No, siree. Definitely not. |

Tuesday, December 25, 2012 6:13:42 PM [I] Is this the kind of arrogance that develops when you live in a place where the fear of getting punched in the face for being a jerk is diminished by the easy access to guns that protects you from such salutary violence? Tuesday, December 25, 2012 4:37:04 PM Yeah, Sesame Street had a whole family made out of them. They had roller coasters too. OK, now, new question: have pipe cleaners *ever* actually been used to clean pipes? Or is like 99% of their purpose in being to entertain small children? And of course to prop up dead guys on motorcycles. |

Tuesday, December 25, 2012 2:46:48 PM She can't even manage to keep her condescension to herself when talking about pipe cleaners and window decals. I mean... really? He can't even manage to keep his chip off his shoulder when you go to the trouble of explaining what you believe might otherwise be an obscure cultural reference that Yanks might not get. I mean.....really? Is this the kind of arrogance that develops when you live in a place where the fear of getting punched in the face for being a jerk is diminished by the easy access to guns that protects you from such salutary violence? PS: Who the hell was talking about "window decals"? |

Tuesday, December 25, 2012 2:43:32 PM MacGuffin, I can assure you that Americans know what pipecleaners are. Well, I'm pleased for you. Can't say I've heard them come up in any conversation with a Septic, nor have I seen them mentioned as ubiquitously on, say, Sesame Street as they were on UK kids' TV programmes like Blue Peter, but glad you got the reference anyway. :) |

Tuesday, December 25, 2012 12:55:20 PM @MacGuffin, You don't know what pipe cleaners are? In here they are used absolutely everywhere to entertain kids in a cheap and shtty way. They are really not that expensive. |

Tuesday, December 25, 2012 12:38:33 PM That must have taken quite a few pipe cleaners* and rolls of sticky-back plastic* to achieve. * Don't worry if you don't know what these are, Americans. Truth is, we Brits don't have a clue either. But when we were kids and there were programmes on TV telling you how to make stuff like dolls' houses and action man lairs, these were stock items that were used in the construction of said items. Kids like me just grew up thinking middle class kids must live in houses where there were drawers upon drawers of the things available. |
