Friday, December 28, 2012 4:09:39 AM More guns around, easier to get a gun. Not sure what is so hard to get about greater gun controls. |

Wednesday, December 26, 2012 5:42:48 AM I'm telling you, controlling the sale of matches is the key. Wait, you don't have anything in The Constitution about the right to bear fire, do you? I'm sure the UK's working on that along with the ban of sharp objects(well more so.) Only aproved sporks will be legal to use with a proper license. |

Wednesday, December 26, 2012 5:37:51 AM If the stats have shown us nothing else, it's that Americans as a nation can't be trusted with firearms. Said the twit from the continent that started both world wars. The gun was ILLEGAL how will more laws help against people who refuse to obey them? |

Wednesday, December 26, 2012 3:40:48 AM I love how all these stories keep popping up about people that have illegal firearms and then the Europeans scream out "Gun control!"...um...they have the guns illegally...would gun control matter? Not at all...they have the guns illegally. |

Tuesday, December 25, 2012 9:54:53 PM No, ban them all from the USA. If I wanted to get a firearm, I'd have to go to another country to get one. Yeah, that's worked so well with drugs. Kids have to drive all the way to Mexico to buy pot now. |

Tuesday, December 25, 2012 8:28:37 AM Fehz Ohh and guess why is so easy for people to get "illegal" weapons? Cause in your country is easier to find a gun on the ground than a quarter of dollar in the street. |

Tuesday, December 25, 2012 7:04:31 AM " As a convicted felon, Spengler was not allowed to legally possess weapons, but he had "several different types of weapons" Monday, the police chief said." Clearly, gun control would have helped here. It's not like anyone smuggles guns into the US, right? Right? |

Tuesday, December 25, 2012 6:37:20 AM HA! The caption contradicts itself! New York has some of the strictest gun laws in the U.S.! More guns in the right hands is a good thing. The lunatic shooter already killed his Grandmother and was a Felon, so it was illegal for him to obtain a weapon, as well. The Police showed up and exchanged fire with the suspect, and the article states, "possibly saving many lives". If an armed person was there before that cop, the same results would have been likely. Thank God the cops showed up in time, this time, but what if they couldn't? |

Tuesday, December 25, 2012 5:22:55 AM I've said it once, and so have a lot of other people. If you take guns away, then only criminals will have guns. Period. Point blank. No other way around it. |

Tuesday, December 25, 2012 5:21:51 AM How do you propose that's done Drac? There are 200 million guns here. That's just the ones we know about. That does not include the ones that criminals already have that are not registered. |

Tuesday, December 25, 2012 3:04:19 AM "They guy was convicted felon. It was already illegal for him to possess a firearm of any kind. What do you want to do, make it SUPER-DOUBLE-SECRET ILLEGAL for felons to have firearms?" No, ban them all from the USA. If I wanted to get a firearm, I'd have to go to another country to get one. If the stats have shown us nothing else, it's that Americans as a nation can't be trusted with firearms. |

Monday, December 24, 2012 9:20:51 PM I'm sure someone already brought this up, but guess what? The guy's a convicted felon, did 17 years for killing his own f*cking grandmother. Those convicted of felonies in NY State are not allowed to own firearms therefore the weapons he had were illegal. You can take your "We clearly need more guns to stop this" caption and stick it right up your a$$. |

Monday, December 24, 2012 8:43:04 PM He was not legally allowed to own any firearms as a felon. So... that law worked out great didn't it. More gun laws will do absolutely nothing to stop this sort of thing, it will actually inhibit responsible gun owners from taking action against crazy a-holes like this |

Monday, December 24, 2012 4:37:48 PM @Corydoras87: Yes, the police WERE on the scene, it states in the article: "Police officers rushed to the scene, and one of the first ones there exchanged fire, "in all likelihood, (saving) many lives," according to the police chief." So YES, more guns DID save people's lives. For sure the two wounded firefighters would have been killed too, plus others who would have arrived, if not for the Police SHOOTING BACK. This guy was convicted of First Degree Murder! But he was out, walking around, free as a bird... Thanks to "liberals"... |

Monday, December 24, 2012 4:32:44 PM Obviously another LAW would have prevented this from happening! So what if he killed himself, the threat of "jailtime" would have made him NOT do this, right liberals? No one's answered my query: Why are the very same people who are OPPOSED to the death penalty, "because it doesn't prevent crimes" so strongly FOR more gun laws? Do new laws "prevent crime"? @Randy: It doesn't fit the "meme" so it is ignored. ONLY guns kill people, not bombs, fire or airplanes... This dude had illegally aquired guns, no law in the universe would have prevented this. Period! |

Monday, December 24, 2012 4:00:58 PM OMG, some non-nice individual shot at firefighters!!!! This poo happens all the time in Europe. And guns are MUCH heavier here than they would be after AWB in the US. |
