Monday, December 24, 2012 4:09:03 PM is this really sanitary for the baby? seems kinda questionable to me. A decent tattoo place would probably be more sanitary than most places. Sterility in the tattooing kit and cleanliness in the whole place attracts customers (and is required in some areas). I'd be more concerned about other customers. Babies aren't sanitary. They often puke and pee and poop. But we're only seeing a photo. Maybe someone else had the baby most of the time, in another room. If someone was permanently marking my body in a way that requires skill and concentration to do at all well, I wouldn't want a baby a few inches away to distract them. It's hardly rare for a baby to make loud noises without warning. |

Monday, December 24, 2012 10:46:52 AM @Matwix 2004: I didn't just mean the act of breastfeeding itself, but the entire idea of having a kid in the tattoo parlor. It's not going to be eating the whole time, so what happens if it starts crying and needs to be rocked, or if it spits up, or if it sh*ts itself and needs to be changed. All of that can be distracting, not only for the mother but also for the artist. She's probably not used to having babies in the place where she works, and making a tattoo come out perfectly takes focus. It just seems super inconvenient, and something you'd only do if you absolutely couldn't find a sitter. |

Monday, December 24, 2012 9:49:15 AM Yuk, I can't stand seeing some 'mother' getting out her saggy tits and feeding her brat. Do it in private. |

Monday, December 24, 2012 6:59:12 AM DrProfessor - Considering your username, I'm surprised at your answer. I wouldn't be surprised if breastfeeding produced some calming effect, or pleasure which would perhaps negate any pain from the needle?

Monday, December 24, 2012 5:45:54 AM At least she is breast feeding! I seriously question a mother who chooses to use formula over what nature intended. (granted I understand some mother's never produce milk so I don't take issue with them) This is a bit strange though...you would think they would take a break from tattooing to nurse. |

Sunday, December 23, 2012 11:28:56 PM Why bring your kid to a tattoo session? I feel like it would just be awkward and distracting. |
