This home is actually in my neighbourhood in Toronto. For what its worth, they do accept donations-all which go to the Sick Kids hospital downtown. Its quite the spectacle, always traffic going through to take pictures. |

That's just obscene if you ask me. Also, depending on where you live if you put up that much sh*t and your neighbors complain the city/town can come tell you to take it down and/or fine you for it. There's some stuff about that in the NEC code book in the sections dealing with exterior lighting/illumination.
For example, if you have a neighbor with an outdoor floodlight that's triggered by a motion sensor, like one of my neighbors who is a paranoid older woman, if the light is angled so it spills over onto someone else's property you can tell them to move it. When she had it installed a few years ago the damn thing would shine right through the blinds & curtains in our bedroom and near the head of the bed, right in our faces. I told her to have it fixed the next day, she said no so I called the city & they sent out a code/ordinance enforcement officer who made her do it. |
