Tuesday, December 11, 2012 8:46:04 AM @lauriloo: " I also hate when people call random things they think are lame as being "gay"." I am very offended by that comment! How dare you use the word "lame" in an insulting matter. You know damn well people say "lame" to bring up the stereotypical image of a physically disabled person. As long as physically disabled people and their family's feelings are hurt by the term, nobody should be using it and it's not up to us to decide when it's ok. I really don't know why people have to use an innocent third party to insult someone. |

Monday, December 10, 2012 10:05:34 AM If "tard" is so innocuous, why not just say "stupid"? You know damn well people say "'tard" to bring up the stereotypical image of a mentally challenged person, not simply a person who doesn't get good grades in school. As long as mentally challenged people and their family's feelings are hurt by the term, nobody should be using it and it's not up to us to decide when it's ok. I really don't know why people have to use an innocent third party to insult someone. I also hate when people call random things they think are lame as being "gay". It doesn't even make sense but they just have to slur an entire group of people to make themselves feel clever. |

Monday, December 10, 2012 8:56:40 AM Face it, chalket: nobody calls developmentally challenged people "retarded" anymore. For years we've been using a series of cumbersome terms like "developmentally challenged." "Retard" is left exclusively as an insult for people of normal intelligence who do dumb things. The same thing happened with "idiot" and "moron," which used to be medical terms, so don't sweat it. |

Monday, December 10, 2012 8:44:23 AM Fun Fact: Everyone who sticks "tard" on a word to make it an insult is retarded, emotionally and socially. |
