Friday, December 07, 2012 11:19:46 AM @geckohead you said it right!! It wasn't Obama that made him a cheap a$$, he was one already, he's just found an excuse to be an a$$hole. Also, it sounds like if his taxes went up he is the top 1% and he should pay more taxes. He better not go back to that resturant, after that statement he is likely to have his food spit in or worse. |

Friday, December 07, 2012 7:16:32 AM If that guy was as smart he would never eat at the same place twice or at the very least...never have the same server twice. Then again, methinks he is not too bright as is.. |

Friday, December 07, 2012 5:51:12 AM SmagBoy1-"MeGrendel, NONE of those have taken effect yet. NONE!" Actually, you willfully ignorant fool, EVERY ONE I listed HAS taken effect (mainly because I limited the list to those that already had..otherwise it would have been much longer.) By the numbers: 1. Took effect Feb. 2009. 2. Took effect Jan. 2011 3. Took effect Jan. 2011 4. Took effect July 2010 5. Took effect Jan. 2010 6. Took effect immediatly upon signing of Obamacare 7. Took effect Jan. 2010 8. Took effect immediatly upon signing Reconciliation Act 9. Took effect immediatly upon signing Reconciliation Act So, do you choose to be ignorant? Or are you just a lying s.o.b.? SmagBoy1-" you're insisting on spreading lies" And you're insisting on spreading ignorance. |

Friday, December 07, 2012 5:34:26 AM So far under the Obama administration the only taxes that have gone up are Cigarette taxes. In fact 95% of people got a tax reduction from the earned income tax credit in the stimulus package. Obama has however vowed to raise taxes on income over $250,000. |

Friday, December 07, 2012 4:34:24 AM And, by the way, Mr. Cheap Lying Liar, no one is trying to increase taxes over what they were before the Bush tax rate cuts (which was an idiotic effing move while simultaneously increasing spending), so it's like the potential increase in in the tiniest bit unprecedented. It's simply a repeal of the tax cuts, and right now, only suggested for the top 2% of wage earners. Give me an effing break. |

Friday, December 07, 2012 4:32:04 AM Lying liar is a cheap-assed liar. No one's taxes have gone up under Obama. Might they? Sure. But have they yet? No. |

Friday, December 07, 2012 3:50:56 AM I'm always sick to hear this im on a high tax rate I lose 55% of what I make. Or it's not worth me taking a raise any more as I'll lose more money. Complete rubbish. You pay the same rate of tax as everyone else earning 50K a year at the 50K a year level. Then when you move to next tax rate you're paying the higher rate only on the money you've made in that bracket. Idiocy everywhere! |

Friday, December 07, 2012 3:49:08 AM @hi2pi and look at Sweden Estonia and even the US now where low tax rates or lowering tax rates (as in case of Sweden adding about a months salry and dropping corporation tax by 15%) have spurred growth. And some of the best countries in the global economy. As kennedy said the unfortunate truth is low taxes spur growth as people spend their money. But it needs to be balanced for the lower incomes and not just the rich. |

Thursday, December 06, 2012 9:43:20 PM It is doubtful that he or she has a 45% tax rate. But if so, it is even more unlikely their tax rate has gone up by more than a few percentage points. So if they pay 5% more tax, using their "philosophy", they should request the waitstaff to find the other 5% from Obama, not 45%. Cheapskate, bad mathmetician, and a fool.... or perhaps just a conservative. |

Thursday, December 06, 2012 9:32:20 PM I have no sympathy for people who are so cheap/stupid they won't hire an accountant. Not that I believe for a minute that this is true. |

Thursday, December 06, 2012 8:42:08 PM Relatively high, progressive tax codes correlate with jurisdictions that enjoy the highest standard of living on the planet. The mantra of low taxes leading to compensatory growth has been repeatedly disproven over the last 40 years but the increasingly desperate right-wing is instead choosing to double-down. It's sad. |

Thursday, December 06, 2012 8:02:18 PM Oh, come on. It's not like most unskilled workers are Democrats. He might have left this for a Republican that agreed to work for less than minimum wage. What? Why are people laughing? |

Thursday, December 06, 2012 7:49:55 PM Unless he was paying *more* in tips when his taxes went *down*, he doesn't have a leg to stand on in this argument. It's just a lame @$$ excuse to do what he was going to do anyways while also insulting Obama. |
