Yep, about half I think. I'm fine prize money getting taxed (a little iffy when people get taxed on things like winning a free car which ends up costing them money if I understand correctly). Usually it's basically free money that they did pretty much nothing to earn, kinda similar to inheritance money. |

Sutra, they print out the winning numbers at stores in case people missed the drawing or do not have access to computers. |

Piper, it's a form of income for that year. ALL income is taxed. It's a left-over system from WWII that never got nixed because the government loved having the money. |
