Gilda Radner Quotes... "I'd much rather be a woman than a man. Women can cry, they can wear cute clothes, and they're the first to be rescued off sinking ships." "Dreams are like paper, they tear so easily". "Adopted kids are such a pain - you have to teach them how to look like you." "I base my fashion taste on what doesn't itch." |

As her grandma, Nanna Roseannadanna used to say, "It's always somethin'. If it's not one thing, it's something else."

Friday, November 30, 2012 10:55:59 AM Well, being an old guy I knew who Gilda was and loved her. Bill Murray's story above didn't make me tear up but some of Gilda's last performances sure did. Back then, everyone knew she was dying but she stayed funny to the very end. |

Friday, November 30, 2012 10:34:49 AM -Reading this I was like "who is this and why is this important?" -Read comments and see that something emotional happened -Look her up, died before I was even born Explains why I didn't get it, but sad none the less. |

Friday, November 30, 2012 10:29:38 AM It's a touching story, but I must confess I did not choke up at all. I take offense to the assertion that this means I'm "dead inside". Why should I get all choked up over someone I never knew? |

Friday, November 30, 2012 9:31:57 AM That's when SNL was actually funny. The show has had it's moments since then, but it's never been the same. The people like Murray, Martin, etc are great actors all around and geniuses at what they do. The cast since then may have had success, but none of them measure up overall. They make a half dozen movies that are all basically the same (Sandler/Spade/Farley) and they're done. They don't have the talent or range of the originals. |
