Monday, November 19, 2012 2:08:19 PM Awesome!!! @BoredFrank I think the whole family will fall apart when he dies. Have you read how he treated his children, he basically beat them into submission. The son, Nate, that was beat the most wrote a book, he is no longer associated with the family and in fact he speaks out against them. |

Monday, November 19, 2012 11:56:22 AM Surely there's a case for Child Protective Services to step in and do something about the crazy level of brainwashing going on in that group... |

Monday, November 19, 2012 7:36:17 AM It's going to be hilarious when Fred Phelps croaks and thousands of people make pilgrimages just to piss on his grave.

Sunday, November 18, 2012 11:46:17 AM Good to know that everyone who saw the video got something out of it. I was surprised that when I read through the comments everyone is on the same page. I never thought I'd see the day where everyone on IAB was in agreement about the content of a post and no one is arguing about it, hahaha! |

Sunday, November 18, 2012 3:51:34 AM all i have to say is this: i gave 5 years of my life to the military so that people like the Westboro could do their protests. (i also did it so every other American could sleep soundly in their own beds) i am NOT supporting them, i stand apposed to them. the three lines that i think would get then to shut up the fastest: "ye without sin, cast the first stone" John 8:7 "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" Romans 3:23 "You shall not judge, lest you be judged" Matthew 7:1 use their own words to fight them. |

Saturday, November 17, 2012 7:44:17 PM get the local farmers to drive past them spraying manure. they will soon get the point. especially if it happens to them every time they surface. bit of a cleanup but well worth it. perhaps super-soakers filled with piss. |

Saturday, November 17, 2012 7:07:46 PM That looks intimidating. What if Westboro Baptist Church escalates to become a homeland terrorism group? They keep pushing their limits and most people are fed up with what they are saying and someday they just have enough and want to make their message heard way too loudly. Or maybe i have way too wild imagination. |

Saturday, November 17, 2012 6:56:26 PM These guys have the correct idea: Let the WBC speak, but no one should be required to LISEN to them! Or even see them... Thanks @WhoDat! |

Saturday, November 17, 2012 6:21:39 PM The dumbest thing I've ever seen. I've read about this group quite a few times. I'm a Christian and a veteran. Everything these people do is counter-intuitive and hypocritical. If God were to hate anyone (which he's not supposed to) it would be the Westboro Baptist Church for doing things like this in his name. |

Saturday, November 17, 2012 5:54:00 PM How long do you think I'd be in jail for if I cracked one of those Westboro idiots over the head with a pipe? Might just be worth the three-hots-and-a-cot for a year or so... |

Saturday, November 17, 2012 5:18:48 PM Great post Whodat! I ride with the Patriot Guard keeping these "people" away from the family of the deceased in a dignified manner. So far no WBC at any funerals for service members....from an OIF/OEF Veteran & IBEW, Local 134 Union Brother. |

Saturday, November 17, 2012 5:09:19 PM As much as I find WBC to be despicable, I think it's more stupid to engage with them. Stop giving them what they want: attention. |

Saturday, November 17, 2012 4:24:45 PM I'm curious...have any Christian groups counter-protested the WBC *for religious reasons*? The WBC is an extremely bad example of Christianity. A case could be made to denounce them as heretics. They're certainly very far away indeed from the teachings of Jesus. They prate bad interpretations of bad mistranslations of a handful of carefully bible verses and fail to understand even those. There's no theology behind their ravings. Any halfway competent Christian cleric would be able to run rings around them. |

Saturday, November 17, 2012 4:16:19 PM Sometimes I think these westboro feckers are more fecked up than the mad muslims I'm sure they are, but they are also far, far less dangerous to civilisation. The WBC are unintentionally doing good. Not in their own actions, but in the actions they provoke in others. They unify people (against them) and they inspire good in other people in response to the foulness of the WBC. They also show a positive image of the USA. Again, not in themselves but in the way they are handled by other Americans and by the authorities in the USA. They serve as a strong example of the USA living up to some noble ideals - freedom of speech (for them) and peaceful protest (against them). Note how even those who stand against the WBC spoke up in favour of the WBC's freedom of speech, vile though it is. *That's* the key test of freedom of speech - freedom of speech you find grossly offensive. |
