5Cats, some give live birth, some lay eggs. Differant strokes for differant sharks. The eggs are called a Mermaids Purse. For a long time no one knew what they were when they washed up. Also, some sharks do both. She produces an egg, but doesn't release it, instead it hatches inside her and grows for a time before birthing.
