I read the whole story, this guy seemed like your typical trolly piece of internet garbage. Then all Reddit mods get butthurt. He justified it as being pics of underage girls in bikinis and stuff and said it wasn't illegal (technically isn't) and if the girls didn't want to be ogled then they shouldn't post those pics on their facebook. Brilliant rationalization there. |

To clarify - Reddit supports free speech so long as it allows them to justify their inaction against offensive posters (especially those who generate a lot of traffic for them), but stops supporting it when someone tries to make those offensive individuals answerable for their actions.

I'm confused. The troll was confronted in real life, by people asking him questions and talking to him, correct? If so, how is that not free speech as well? What makes "doxxing" less free speech than attempting to hide behind an alias and sling hateful BS? |
