If I remember right when this story originally broke, it was the bus driver that had reported her to the police and video recorded it because she had done it so many times.
The morning after the ticket when the video was made public, she did talk to the news (yelling down from a second floor window) and said something about her kid was disabled and because he had to go to a special school, she had to hurry to get him there (it apparently was quite a distance) and she would be late for work if she waited for the bus in trying to get him to school.
At least, that's what I remember - but I am getting old. |

Yeah, she's apparently done it repeatedly, that's why the police were waiting there! All the kids in the bus knew who she was!
Not guilty? The nerve! Should be tossed in jail just for that! Lawyer too... |

I try to avoid driving at school time over in the UK, its bloody mayhem, live close to a primary school, hit 8.45 am or 3.30 pm, the road is blocked by big SUV's parked up everywhere, waiting for the little darlings |

I moved to Canada a few years back, and on my first week here, one of these school buses stopped coming the other direction. I didn't see the stop sign, so slowly pulled out, giving the bus a wide berth and went on my way. I was immediatly assaulted by a fanfare of horns and people flipping me the bird from their stopped cars.
Genuine mistake. I was a stupid foreigner, I didn't know the system. Boy, did I feel like an ass for days afterward... |

They should tack on a stupidity surcharge. If she's done this before, you would think she would have learned that the bus runs on a schedule, and it will be there every day at the same time. If this was on the route of my morning commute, I'd just take a different street. |

she got pulled over, but i'd bet no justice was served. my guess: went to court to fight ticket, cop didn't show, case dismissed. |
