Well then people can choose to go into a cooperative business. You can't force people to do so, and you can't force the modern corporate structure to be dismantled either. |

I think, honestly, the cooperative business structure where the employees own the entire company and share the profit equally is a great model. No, that is communist, as the government does not have a hand in the running of the company. There are several cooperative factories all over the western world, and they have the highest rate of employee satisfaction... Of course, $10,000 a week ain't bad, plus profit motivation makes for a superior product and output. Those people have pride in their work. |

Bukowski was an author, he worked for himself, was his own boss. He didn't believe that the way men work today, by working for big corporations, truly made them happy. He believed it stifled peoples creativeness and inner personality, made them boring.
You can't just take one quote from him and judge him solely on that. |

I do it because it gives me the freedom to do other things. I have a nice house, in a nice neighborhood, I travel, I send my kids to a good school, etc.
I feel lucky that I have all of that because I know many people who will never have a fraction of the comfort and stability I enjoy.

1. I wake up around 8-9ish at earliest.
2. I poo before I go to bed to avoid this problem. I'm not a victim.
3. My phone wakes me, not an alarm clock.
4. I don't drive to get to work.
5. If the top guy wasn't rich, we would be out of business and wouldn't have jobs.
6. I make a lot of money for a 22 year old.
7. Of course I'm grateful? Why would I not be? I'm not victim of these things. I get to choose most of them. |

Wow. So those people do not get paid a wage that allows them to live and enjoy their leisure? They do not learn skills that allow them to improve their careers and earn even more?
Given that they apparently have no opportunity to set up their own businesses to support themselves, surely they should be grateful for someone giving them a way to survive. |
